The Sathya Sai International Organisation of NZ (in conjunction with Values Education and Service Trust [NZ]) is a voluntary, incorporated, non-profit association founded under the inspiration and guidance of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, for the benefit of mankind.  It makes no distinction on the basis of religion, race, nationality, caste, or creed.  Around the world, the Sathya Sai Centres consist of members of different ethnic groups and different religions all pursuing their respective religions and following the teachings of their religions, but joining together for the service of mankind with the firm faith that Service to Man is Service to God.
The Organisation provides a forum where spiritual aspirants learn spiritual values.  It is a training ground where members practise the teachings of Baba, with special emphasis on service to others.  It is a temple of devotion and an instrument for the transformation of society.
The primary objective of the Sai Organisation is to aid seekers in their quest for God by helping them to recognise the divinity in all.  The main unit of the Organisation is the Centre, the members of which are assisted, by a process of spiritual discipline, in their quest for God.  The Organisation seeks to purify the individual's heart and mind.  It enables them to see all people and objects as reflections of God, and to establish peace and the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man on earth.  By spiritually transforming the individual, the Organisation seeks to transform the world.
The Hamilton City Sai Centre has a Spiritual Wing, a Service Wing, and an Education Wing.  Its objectives are to provide spiritual knowledge and awareness among seekers; it is there to provide service to the needy and less fortunate by undertaking a series of diversified service projects.
